本日、現在全日本プロレスに参戦中のレネ・デュプリ選手がアリストトリストに来社、蝶野選手を訪問しました。
蝶野選手が、全日本プロレスのリングにおいて”ブードゥ・マーダーズ”の一員として活躍するレネ・デュプリ選手と再会。
２人は古くから交流があり、接点は蝶野が若手時代に行ったカナダ遠征(1988年当時)にさかのぼります。
大会のプロモーターの息子がレネ選手にあたり、蝶野選手は当時子供だったレネ選手とサッカーをした思い出があるという。
その後、レネ選手は14歳でプロレスデビュー。アメリカ・メジャー団体のWWEマットではシルヴァン・グラニエ選手との“ラ・レジスタンス”を結成し、WWE世界タッグ王座に就いているが、若干19歳での戴冠はWWE最年少。
今回、レネ選手がアリストトリストを訪れたことで、２人の久しぶりの対面が実現。ともに昔話に花を咲かせました。
